An armed robber got away with a sum of money in cash from a shop in Ta’ Xbiex.

The hold-up took place on Monday evening at about 6pm in Triq Abate Rigord in Ta’ Xbiex, the police said.

According to reports the hold-up took place at Remedies Pharmacy.

From preliminary investigations it appears that a man wearing a mask and carrying a pistol demanded money from the cashier, a 25 year-old man from Mosta.

Police investigations are ongoing.
