Munxar Falcons were crowned BOV GFA 2nd Division Champions.

Munxar went into the final game of the season with a 1 point lead over neighbours and rivals Sannat Lions and went in firing on all cylinders and opening a 3-0 lead in the first 20 minutes of the game and dominating the first half.

Sannat came into the second half a changed team and reduced the deficit in the first minutes and becoming more aggressive as the second half progressed. Sannat earned a penalty just after the half hour to make the score 3-2 and laid siege on the Munxar goal. Both teams were reduced to 10 men with a send-off for each side. but Munxar held tight to win the title and the automatic promotion to the BOV GFA 1st Division next season.

Horace Laudi, Executive Gozo Region at Bank of Valletta and Dr Samuel Azzopardi, President of the Gozo Football Association presented the trophy to the newly crowned champions.
