PN leader Adrian Delia today invited the public to bring their electricity and water bills down to PN headquarters where the party will study them, and if they deserve to be rebated, will fight for the public's money back. Delia announced this on Radio 101.

The Malta Independent has written successive stories on the matter including why people should be contesting for rebates from ARMS. Delia addressed the system which is currently being used where electricity and water bills are being received every two months or so and is affecting consumers who are billed frequently and have spikes and drops in their consumption. "I appeal for people to come to the party where David Agius and a team will study and examine your bills. Where we can tell you how much the government has taken from you and how much it owes you back" he said. He emphasised that the party was ready to fight for these rebates for the public.

Delia also addressed the issue of stagnant wages for certain sectors and jobs, adding that whilst such sectors as iGaming are enjoying rising wages, other sectors are remaining stagnant or even decreasing. "Wages for ordinary jobs are becoming more and more inadequate and people are not managing to keep up with costs of living" he stated.

The issue of the rental market was also noted with Delia addressing the recent stories of people living in garages due to the rising rent prices. Delia explained that he had met with many real estate agents who described that such an issue is not a one off. He was informed that people were paying the same price of an apartment for one room or a garage. "We are reaching the extreme of an underground society, where people actually live underground. People have to right to live a decent life and the government has not even addressed this or spoken about it" he said.

The issue of regulations surrounding construction was spoken about by the Leader of the Opposition, with Delia noting that the lack of regulations during construction development regarding dust, noise and lack of safety measures are reflective of a society that does not care for others and its surroundings.  "Development is good and it needs to take place but we also need regulation. How come outside of Malta one even hardly notices if construction is taking place" Delia questioned.

Delia expressed his solidarity for the hit and run of a police man this week, stating his support and thoughts for the police man, his family and whole police corps. He however referred to the case and comments made on social media as a reflection of society where there is a disdain for human life.
