Plane forced to make emergency landing after passenger’s smell made others vomit

A plane was forced to make an emergency landing because a passenger’s body odour was so bad it made others vomit and faint, international media report

The Transavia flight from Amsterdam to Gran Canaria landed in Faro, southern Portugal, and the man was taken off the aircrafy

 ‘Several passengers got sick and had to puke’ Belgian passenger Piet van Haut described the smell as “unbearable”, the Mirror reported.

The Boeing 737 – which took off from Schiphol Airport – was officially grounded for “medical reasons”.

A Transavia spokesman said: “The aeroplane diverted because of medical reasons, but it is indeed right that he smelled quite a bit.”
