Josef Portelli has joined APS Bank as the new Head of Investment Management. He will be responsible for the bank's investment portfolio, the offering of investment, portfolio management and retirement services as well as the business of ReAPS Asset Management Limited.

Josef is a graduate in Accountancy from the University of Malta and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He moved to London in 2005 to manage fixed income portfolios with ACPI Investments, after which he went on to head the discretionary bond portfolio offering at RBC Investment Management.

In 2012 he joined Invesco Asset Management where he managed the firm's flagship global bond funds. His earlier career in Malta included a three-year portfolio management stint with HSBC Bank Malta. Amongst other achievements, Josef earned a Citywire Fund Management Rating of AA, making him a highly-regarded fund manager in the UK.

"We are proud to welcome Josef with his past 13 years of London investment management experience which, I am confident, will further strengthen the excellent credentials of APS Bank's investment management team", said APS Bank's CEO Marcel Cassar.
