A man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car this morning, the police said,

The accident took place at 8.30am in Archbishop Street, Valletta.

The 42-year-old man of Msida was hit by a Ford Connect driven by a 27-year-old of Hamrun.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.
