Four teams from three different categories from Melita FC Youth Nursery are currently participating in the Komm Mit Munich Summer Camp, a tournament which is held between 6 July and 9 July 2018 in the Free State of Bavaria, situated very close to Munich. This is actually the fourth Munich Summer Camp which is being held.

A total of 39 teams are competing over 4 different age categories whereas Melita FC will be competing with four teams, two for the Under 11 category, and one team each for the Under 13 and Under 17 categories respectively. This summer camp attracts local German teams together with other teams from different nations and actually for this edition, teams from Austria, Switzerland, Egypt, Finland, France, Italy, Kosovo, Germany, Belgium, Israel, Lebanon, Serbia and Latvia are also present.

The boys together with the dedicated team of coaches and staff from Melita FC Nursery have been training with their respective teams since the end of season, hence they had a full month of intensive training having two to three sessions weekly, which helped them prepare well enough for this summer camp to be able to be focused and fit for these exciting football days.

All four Melita FC teams did extremely well, in fact all four teams played until the final stage of the tournament. Both teams for the Under 11 Category played against each other, hence Melita FC won the category, the Under 13 squad lost the final match thus placing second in the category whilst the Under 17 team also won the final match, making two Melita FC teams winning two honours. Ben Cassar, from the Under 11 squad also won an honour for being the top scorer for the Under 11 Category. No doubt that all the hard work and training paid off!
