A man was lucky to escape injuries when a building collapsed right on the spot where he had been resting on a bench in Birkirkara.

A video uploaded on Facebook shows the 58-year-old sitting on the bench, suddenly looking up and running away as stone fell on the area where he was sitting.

The accident took place at 3pm in Valley Road.
