Minister Jose Herrera and his wife were treated at Mater Dei Hospital after they were involved in a car accident early this morning.

The Department of Information said the two were not injured but went to hospital “for observation” and were discharged some time later.

The accident took place in Attard at 12.30am.

The minister was as passenger in the car.

He returned to work as normal this morning.
