Let us make real progress

Sunday, 19 August 2018, 08:55 Last update: about 7 years ago

The PL and the PN bicker over many things but are in silent agreement when it comes to the Planning Authority and the protection of the natural environment. Things have not changed and may be getting worse. Now even the village cores are being torn down. It seems that we have to protect our village cores and our natural environment from the Planning Authority with the approval of the PL and the PN. It should be vice versa. The Planning Authority should be the protector of our natural heritage and village cores. How can NGOs and common citizens compete with a multi millionaire developer who has such huge resources?

Sustainable development would take care of our natural heritage.

Sustainable development would try to reduce the traffic problem by building an underground train system with a link to Gozo.

Sustainable development would reduce nepotism and clientelism.

Sustainable development is having a clear planning law on development with no loopholes.
