Costa Coffee Malta test people's kindness

Tuesday, 21 August 2018, 12:03 Last update: about 7 years ago

Costa Coffee Malta headed out to one of Malta's most beautiful locations, Riviera beach, to conduct a social experiment and test people's kindness.

The idea was simple. Will people stop to help a man on crutches, carrying a picnic cooler, climb hundreds of steps in the sweltering heat? The experiment was carried out with the intention of rewarding people's kindness and documented with the objective of spreading the positivity.

Costa Coffee Malta, together with Three Wise Men, captured all of this on camera and the results were overwhelmingly positive. Each person who helped the man on crutches was awarded with refreshing Costa Coffee drinks and merchandise.

This Summer Costa Coffee introduced 9 new drinks to their menu, ranging from two new indulgent Frostino flavours, Red Velvet and Salted Caramel, to some healthier options such as Fresh Berry Iced Tea, Espresso Tonic, and Fresh Iced Lemonade.

After successfully opening a new store in Mosta last December, Costa fans will now be delighted to know that in the coming days Costa Coffee will be opening its 12th shop on the Island, located in Mriehel.

''We're so excited to give the business community a great place to work in a nice warm environment for them to hold daily meetings and most important of all, serve great irresistible coffee'' said Christina Galea, General Manager for the Malta stores.

The shop is specifically designed for the business community in which the Costa Meeting Pods concept will be introduced. The pods can take up to 6 people at one go and will be equipped with TV screens to make it easier to hold presentations. Aside from the meeting pods, Costa has introduced a number sharing tables and plenty of power to go around.

Costa Coffee has now been operating in Malta for over 6 years, serving hundreds of thousands of people and a few hundred paws. All outlets Costa shops in Malta, including the new store in Mriehel are pet-friendly.
