A biker who was seriously injured five days ago died today at Mater Dei Hospital, the police said.

The biker, Mark Vassallo, 53 of Msida, was involved in a traffic accident at 7.45am in Marina Street, Msida, last Wednesday.

The biker was involved in an accident with two cars, driven by two men aged 33 and 24, both of Naxxar, as they were all driving in the direction of Valletta.

For a time, Vassallo was employed at Public Broadcasting Services as TV Programmes Director.

He was married to actress Moira Muscat.
