As Bishop of the Diocese of Jundiaí in Brazil, I wish to thank the Mission Fund, through your newspaper, for the donation it made to my diocese.

This donation will be used to support Caritas as well as the formation of seminarians. Caritas is responsible for the social aspect of the diocese, mainly by helping the poor with its educational after-school sessions for children, as well as financial and material aid to families. This money will also be used for the education of seminarians: in a country where the number of priests is low, there is the need for more investment.

I urge you, all benefactors, to continue praying for me and for all the other Maltese missionaries, while also continuing to give your support through donations.
