Malta Heat win the first international tournament, Hardball City Cup in Marl, Germany. Played a total of five matches with one loss, Malta Heat was honoured as Champions of the Tournament.

The games were played in Johanstadion in Marl, the team had trained during the summer for this tournament. The coach Michael Bartolo was a key component to the team to get ready for this level of competition.
