The Nationalist Party has approved its first group of candidates for the MEP elections next May, it said in a statement.

Four of these candidates will be contesting for the first time.

The approved candidates are sitting MEPs Roberta Metsola, David Casa and Francis Zammit Dimech, as well as Peter Agius, Dione Borg, Michael Briguglio and Frank Psaila.

The candidates were approved by the Executive Committee, on the recommendation of the administrative council.
