A mobile toilet at the Ferries in Sliema was carried away by the rough seas, ending up in the middle of the road.
The strong east north easterly wind has hit the islands in the past hours, affecting the eastern coast of Malta.
Seas are notoriously rough in places such as St Paul's Bay, Xemxija, St Julian's and Sliema.
In low-lying areas such as the Sliema Ferries, sea-water rises high enough to cover the street. In this instance, a mobile toilet on the promenade was carried out on to the road.
It is not known whether anyone was inside when this happened.
