Earlier this evening, ninety seven migrants were rescued 44 nautical miles south of Malta, after their dinghy was taking water, the government said.

The migrants will be brought to Malta onboard the Armed Forces of Malta vessel tonight. 

This brings the total number of migrants saved to 217 in two days. Another 120 migrants were brought in last night.
