A Syrian man was seriously injured this morning after he was hit by a car in Zabbar on Thursday morning, the police said.

The 36-year-old, who resides in Zabbar, was hit by a Peugeot Partner driven by a 62-year-old man of Zejtun.

The accident took place in Villabate Street at 8.20am.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
