A man was seriously injured this afternoon after marble slabs fell on him in a factory at the Attard industrial estate, the police said.

The accident took place at 2.30pm, and involved a Gambian man aged 19.

Members of the Civil Protection Department assisted the man before he was taken to hospital for treatment.
