Gozitan civil society preparing declaration on inclusivity in Gozo

Civil Society in Gozo is preparing its final draft of a Declaration in favour of inclusivity in Gozo. Representatives from various non-government organisations namely the OASI Foundation, Dar ARKA, LGBTI+ GOZO, the ‘Mental Health Association Gozo’ and the ‘Gozo Association for the Deaf’ convened at ARKA Foundation at Għajnsielem, Gozo where they presented their specific aims for inclusion in this Declaration.

This initiative is being organised with the collaboration of the Gozo Office of Maltese MEP Alfred Sant and the S&D Group at the European Parliament.

The civil society groups discussed the challenges ahead and forwarded proposals  to ensure more inclusivity with the aim of satisfying the legitimate aspirations of citizens and residents in Gozo.

This Declation is expected to be announced officially at Fondazzjoni Arka on Saturday 3 November at 10am.

Parents, relatives and friends of persons in Gozo interested in this Declaration as well as the general public are invited to attend.
