Prime Minister Joseph Muscat described Adrian Delia's budget speech as one of Halloween, trying to scare people but no one takes him seriously.
Delia's speech verged on the extreme right political sphere, Muscat said, calling it xenophobic and a speech like it never heard in highest echelons of society.
He also said that it is clear that the opposition has no idea how economic strategy works.
Muscat said that together with all in government he will continue to work to increase jobs and opportunities in Malta. In his speech tomorrow, he noted that he will be explaining the enormous difficulties Delia has to reconcile from today's speech.
