A man was seriously injured on Friday evening when he was hit by a car in Cospicua, the police said.

The 42-year-old man of Cospicua was hit by a Peugeot driven by a 34-year-old man of Zurrieq.

The accident took place in St Paul’s Street at 8.10pm.

Magistrate Gabriella Vella is conducting an inquiry.
