Last Thursday's big match between Luxol and Valletta, offered once again a thrilling encounter in front of a large audience at the Corradino Sport Pavillion.
Luxol started firecely as in the first four minutes played they were leading 3-0, through a brace by Brazilian Maicon Silva Gaiewski and George Frendo's goal.
In the following minute, Valletta didn't throw the towel and reduced the gap through their captain Melvin Borg. In the final four minutes of the first half, Melvin Borg scored once again and Dylan Musu levelled the matters.
During the second half both teams had a player sent off. First was Valletta's goalkeeper Stefan Vella who took the ball outside the penalty area and then Luxol's George Frendo received the second yellow card for a hand ball.
After an intitiative by Columbian Camilo Andres Gomez Vanegas, it was time again for Valletta's captain Melvin Borg to mark his hat-trick, engraving the winning goal and sealing the end result of 4-3. Luxol were denied twice by the post with the last one in the final second of the match.
