Merchants who accept payments by Mastercard through a BOV ePOS machine this month have a chance to win €50,000 in cash. 

The Christmas 2018 BOV Mastercard Merchant Campaign gives 50 BOV merchants the chance to win a €1,000 cash prize each. Merchants will automatically earn a stake in the lottery for every €10 accepted from a Mastercard card. The maximum number of stakes each merchant can have is limited to 300 giving smaller merchants a better chance of winning. 

"Christmas is a time of giving and through this campaign we shall be awarding 50 prizes of €1,000 each in cash deposited directly in the accounts of winning merchants," said Ivo Camilleri, executive Electronic Banking at Bank of Valletta. "We have teamed up with Mastercard to reward our loyal merchants while encouraging their customers to use this excellent payment method that offers convenience, security and a world beyond cash." 

The campaign will run throughout this month with the winning merchants to be announced in January.
