MEP candidate Peter Agius said this in his vlog from Brussels about the UN Migration Pact endorsed by 85% of UN members including Malta this week in Marrakesh.

Agius highlighted that EU policy on migration should focus on making sure that migrant ships simply do not need to take the trip to Malta, rather than quabbling on who takes the migrants when they face up in our waters. Agius insists that the only way to solve the migration problem long-term is to invest in African economies, making sure that young africans have a future at home rather than risking their lives for a future in Europe.
