There’s simply no stopping Sirens at the moment. The league leaders notched their tenth successive victory defeating Zejtun by a late Ige Adeshina header.
The side led by Vince Carbonaro has now grown in composure match after match and is triumphantly heading towards a historic promotion in the Premier League, the side’s first ever in the top flight.
Zejtun were still smarting from their drubbing against Naxxar and maybe yesterday played their last cards in the promotion race, as this defeat practically pulls them completely out, even for a third placing.
Sirens fully deserved their victory, always in control of the match, and creating the better scoring chances, finally finding the back of the net eleven minutes from time when Ige Adeshina headed home for his eleventh one of the season.

San Gwann fully deserved their victory as they dominated the second half after a ratehr balanced first half.
The first half had little to offer with Qrendi holding the upper hand for long stretches, but San Gwann going very close half way through the first half, having two shots cleared off the goal line.
On their part Qrendi had a Christian Caruana just missng the upright and a close range effort by Ciro Quaranta brilliantly blocked by Mestrovic.
After the break San Gwann scored two quick goals through Renan de Oliveira and Jean Paul Attard who scored a wonder goal from around 40 meters.
Tempers flared in stoppage time with a free for all and red card for Qrendi’s Christian Caruana, with Qrendi pulling one back through Kenneth Abela on 94 minutes.
