A Macedonian man was remanded in custody after being charged with two hold-ups.
Goran Stojanovski, 42, was ccused that on 10 August he was involved in a hold-up at the Western Bureau in St Paul’s Bay.
Two days later he was involved in a second hold-up at the St Julian’s Hotel Corinthia Lido.
He was also accused of having false documents.
The man had fled Malta after the second hold-up and a European Arrest Warrant had been issued against him. He was arrested in Poland on 26 December and extradited to Malta on Friday, the police said.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody by Magistrate Ian Farrugia.
