Kickboxing Promoters Master Noel Mercieca and Niclas Elfstedt will be organizing the twenty second edition of Gladiators Fight Night held on Saturday the 23rd of February 2019 at the Corradino Sports Pavillion.
During the said event, spectators will enjoy a total of around 15 bouts in different weight categories. Maltese athletes will be facing various opponents from different European countries such as France, Italy and Spain.
Fighter Faris Lukovic will be competing during the night's main event for the World Kickboxing Network (WKN) Semi-Pro European Title in the super light heavyweight division against his Spanish opponent Juan Antonio Oller Rosillo. Despite Lukovic being of foreign descent, he will be representing Malta and his club Fort Fitness.
Apart from the substantial amount of local competitors, one will get to chance to see renowned local fighters in actions such as the talented Celeste Galea and Jesred Piscopo from Ying Yang Team Noel who will both be facing Italian opponents on the night.
Such events are relatively important in Malta as they offer both experience and exposure to hard working athletes aiming high in their kickboxing careers. In fact, those present on the night will witness a very good number of local sportsmen from different participating clubs. These include Ying Yang Team Noel, Team Jalen, Basement Kickboxing, Fort Fitness, Malta Thai Boxing, Warriors Kickboxing Academy and Kibishii Michi Kickboxing Club. A night jam packed with incredible local talent.
