Saturday, 23 February 2019, 09:16 Last update: about 6 years ago

MEP Miriam Dalli is encouraging Maltese and Gozitans to actively take part in her electoral campaign. People are encouraged to send in their ideas to [email protected]on those themes they believe should be a priority during the next legislature of the European Parliament.

“I will launch my electoral campaign on March 8. This will be your campaign because I want to put your priorities at the forefront. Tell me the themes you consider to be of priority,” Miriam Dalli said, during a message first launched during a political activity in Ħaż-Żabbar. The message is accessible on social media.

“What issues do you want me to focus on? How do you feel we can take this country to the next level?”

The Labour MEP is contesting the European Parliament elections for the second time. During these five years, Dr Dalli made Malta a priority. This was evident in her work on matters such as taxation, the environment, innovation and irregular migration whilst defending the national interest even when the European Parliament took stands against Malta.

“I come before you with a vision based on what you would like to see as a priority. The Labour government strengthened this country’s economic foundations during these six years. Now is the time to take the next step. The next level for Malta. This is my aspiration,” Miriam Dalli said.

Miriam Dalli is inviting citizens of all ages to have their say on where they would like the country to make the leap to the next level in quality of life, standards, education and the environment, amongst others.

“This is not my campaign but the campaign of each and every one of you because these islands, and Maltese and Gozitans, deserve the best possible,” Miriam Dalli said.
