New €20 pass for Pembroke park and ride to University and Mater Dei Hospital service

Tuesday, 12 March 2019, 17:32 Last update: about 6 years ago

Malta Public Transport launched a new product to facilitate the Park and Ride service between Pembroke and the University of Malta and Mater Dei Hospital: a €20 pass that gives customers 30 days of unlimited travel on Route TD17.

"The new TD17 €20 pass offers an excellent alternative to park and easily get to the university and hospital," explained Daniel Grech, Commercial Director at Malta Public Transport. "While occasional visitors may still pay €1.50 per trip on the TD17, this pass offers more value for students and staff at the university and hospital."

TD17 is a Tallinja Direct route which was launched in October, connecting Pembroke Park and Ride to the University of Malta campus and Mater Dei Hospital. In addition to stopping at the Qroqq bus stop (near the skate park in Msida), the route has been extended to the Università 3 bus stop, which is located near the hospital's Day Care Unit. Through this change the route now serves passengers travelling to both the University of Malta and Mater Dei hospital.

The €20 pass can be purchased online at publictransport.com.mt and from Malta Public Transport Sales Outlets in the Valletta Terminus, in the Bugibba Terminus, in the Gozo Terminus, at the Sliema Ferries and in the Airport's Arrivals Lounge. It is available on the Student, Adult, Gozo and Concession Tallinja Cards.
