A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a fight that broke out in a restaurant in Mgarr on Sunday afternoon, the police said.

Details of the brawl were sketchy, with the police saying that the fight involved several persons and that the injured man is aged 56 and is resident in Msida.

The restaurant in question is in Triq il-Maghkuba and the incident broke out at 5.30pm.
