The Selmun Palace, which is government property, is currently being used for television productions, Tourism Konrad Mizzi told Parliament on Monday.

Mizzi was replying to a Parliamentary Question by Nationalist MP Robert Cutajar.

The Tourism Minister said that Selmun Palace has been used for filming television productions and there are another two upcoming productions, which will use both the interior and exterior areas of the palace.

He explained that currently, the Ministry is seeing how best to commercialise the building, adding that it might be used as a hotel. He said that the government is currently in discussions with the Planning Authority to see what kind of hotel can be developed in that area.
