Two passengers were fined €1,500 each for being drunk and disorderly on a flight that was meant to leave on Wednesday.

The men, a 23-year-old from Ireland and a 23-year-old Briton, were charged in front of magistrate Ian Farrugia with not letting the cabin crew who were trying to carry out their duties, and with disturbing public peace.

The prosecution was led by inspector Silvio Magro.
