Every year, during ‘Holy Week’, we are regaled with stories of the ‘miraculous’ statue of the ‘ecce homo’ in Valletta  and the ‘miraculous’ statue of  the ‘Redeemer’ in Senglea.

I suggest that these statues should be gathered together with all the other miraculous statues and relics in Malta, including the ‘true’ piece of the cross, for a mass pilgrimage. The pilgrimage should start from the Sanctuary of the ‘miraculous’ image of Our Lady of Graces at Zabbar and from there it should proceed to Mater Dei hospital.

This newspaper can report back to us how many sick people have been healed through the miraculous statues and relics.
