A 57-year-man was grievously injured after he was hit by the door of a truck in Naxxar, the police said.

The accident took place in Triq il-Kappella ta’ Santa Marija, at around 3.30pm.

The police said the man was carrying some work when the door fell on him.

The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. The police are investigating.
