A foreign worker was seriously injured after falling inside a construction site in Qormi.

The accident took place at around 7.38am in Triq l-Imdina.

The police said the man, whose identity and age have yet to be established, lost his balance and fell to the ground.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Magistrate Charmaine Galea is leading an inquiry. Police investigations are ongoing.
