The MV Nicolaos arrived in Malta on Monday morning to join the Gozo Channel fleet, bringing up the total of ships to four.

The ro-ro ferry, in Gozo Channel colours, arrived from Greece.

It was leased by Gozo Channel Limited following an increase in passenger and car crossings.  

The ship was chartered together with its crew on a short lease while Gozo Channel seeks a more suitable vessel for longer use.  

The Nicolaos was built in 1987.
