A woman is facing charges in Italy after being caught on camera while she urinates on the grave where her former mother-in-law is buried, Italian media report.

The woman was filmed by her former husband, who handed over the video to the police for further investigation.

The 50-year-old woman, Italian media report, wanted to take revenge on her former husband after he had left the matrimonial home.

The former husband noticed that fresh flowers were being watered with bleach and decided to keep watch. He hid behind some bushes and soon enough caught his former wife pulling down her trousers to urinate on the tombstone.

He captured what his wife did on film and handed it over to the police.
