An irreverent exploration of being Maltese

Actors Anthony Ellul and Anna Bassilly will dramatise a sample of stories from a new anthology of short stories entitled Għall-Glorja tal-Patrija’ (An irreverent exploration of being Maltese) during a literary evening at MUŻA, Merchants Street Valletta on Friday 25 October at 7.30pm.

The anthology is a collection of 20 short stories rooted in different eras of Maltese history written by journalist and historian Aleks Farrugia.

Ironic, at times hard hitting, sometimes tragic, these stories provide an author's trajectory towards understanding of that which makes the Maltese people through a thorough analysis of characters often at the margins of society.

Norbert Bugeja will discuss the themes featuring in the various stories with the author who will sign copies of this new publications.

All are invited to attend and entrance is free. A reception will follow.
