Nadur man gets suspended sentence for theft, slightly injuring person

A 20-year-old man from Nadur has been handed a suspended sentence after he admitted to charges of theft, causing slight injuries to another person and relapsing.

Before Magistrate Monica Vella, the man was charged with having stolen cash and jewellery from a residence in Zebbug, Gozo, on the night between 19 and 20 June, and of having, on 27 October, slightly injured a person in Pjazza J.F. Kennedy in Victoria.

He was further charged with having failed to observe his bail conditions in November.

The man pleaded guilty and was handed a two-year prison term, which was suspended for four years.
