The Police Officers' Union has expressed solidarity with Police Commissioner Lawrence Cutajar, and expressed their trust in his work.

"The Commissioner over the years in his position showed that he truly had the lower ranks close to his heart, and was always available and cooperated with us as a union for important reforms to take place in the running of the Corps."

"We want to thank him for his priceless contribution that he has and is giving to the Force and to the country."

Both PL Leadership contenders Chris Fearne and Robert Abela have indicated that they might remove Cutajar once elected.
