The much-awaited Celine Dion concert which was meant to take place in Malta this coming summer will be postponed to the summer of 2021 according to reports.

Lovin Malta quoted 'informed sources' in saying that an official announcement is set to be given on 10 June, with the concert being rescheduled to July 2021.

The legendary singer was set to perform in Ta' Qali on 27 July and is yet to be officially moved or cancelled even though health authorities have said that mass events during summer will not be permitted as a continued mitigation measure against Covid-19.

She was coming to Malta for the first time as part of a world tour promoting her new album 'Courage', which is due to be released in November.

The Canadian vocal powerhouse was already forced to put her world tour dates between March 24 and April 27 on hold last March due to the spread of the pandemic, with other shows being postponed soon after.

The show in Malta was slated to be the first on her calendar for a return to the stage, however it seems that this will not be the case.
