A man was grievously injured on Thursday morning after he was hit by a car in San gwann, the police said.

The accident took place in St Paul’s Street at 8.45am.

The man, aged 60 of Sliema, was hit by a Toyota Vitz driven by a 29-year-old woman of San Gwann.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
