A biker was critically injured on Saturday afternoon in a crash in Naxxar, the police said.

The accident took place in Labour Avenue at 12.45pm.

The biker, a 56-year-old Hungarian man resident in St Paul’s Bay, was riding a Honda Africa Twin that was involved in a collision with a Honda Fit driven by a 43-year-old woman of Mosta.

The biker was given first assistance by a medical team before being taken to Mater Dei Hospital with serious injuries.
