A teenager was seriously injured on Monday evening after he fell from a height at Għajn Tuffieħa.
The 17-year-old, from England, was taking a walk in the Riviera Bay area when he tripped and fell off the cliffs at around 8.30pm, the police said.
Police said he fell a height of around six storeys off the cliff.
The teenager was airlifted to Mater Dei Hospital after being given first assistance by members of the Civil Protection Department.
Magistrate Doreen Clarke is leading an inquiry.
