Getting to know Louise Tedesco

She is a familiar face on television, during which she has presented a myriad programmes and for a time also served as a newscaster.

Her favourite singer has performed many times in Malta and the team she supports in Malta is an easy guess, although she also has a favourite foreign team.

Like many of us, she loves Italian food, but what is her favourite ice-cream topping?

Eleven Minutes

Who is your favourite author?

What was the last film you watched?

Without a Trace, starring Kate Nelligan.

Which film have you seen multiple times and enjoyed every time you saw it?

The Count of Monte Cristo

Who is your favourite actor/actress?

Jim Caviezel

What is your favourite TV series?

Too many to choose from

What is your favourite game or sport to watch and play?

Football. I grew up in a footballing family. My interest in the game remains strong to this day.

Which team do you support?

Locally, Hamrun Spartans. But I am equally passionate about Leeds United.

Which song would you sing at a karaoke night?

Believe, by Cher.

Who is your favourite singer/band?

Claudio Baglioni

 

Which show/event would you like to attend/have attended? 

The O’scia Concert in Malta, which I also had the honour to co-present.

What three items would you take with you on a deserted island?

A photo of my family, my Word game and a mobile phone

Which of the five senses would you say is your strongest?

Definitely my sense of smell

What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten?

I was at an official dinner once in an Embassy and was offered something that looked very similar to an ear, not human of course.  

What is that one thing you could not go a day without?

Cigarettes

No.

What age would you choose if you could be one age forever?

Somewhere between thirty and forty. You know enough by then and are still in a position to change.

What invention would you erase from history?

Nothing

Dogs. We have two at home.

Italian food

What is your favourite hobby?

Travel

Chocolate cream (on chocolate ice cream)

I used to watch manga cartoons on Italian TV when I was young.  

What did you like to do most during the summer holidays?

Going to the seaside

A lawyer

Visiting Saudi Arabia with my family

Which toy do you wish to have kept?

I had a huge Lamb soft toy which stayed with me for a surprisingly long time.

Maths

Science and history in equal measure

Christmas lunch

What are the best values you owe to your parents?

Honesty

What would you change about yourself if you could?

I wish I were taller.

Half empty.

Yes

What is your biggest regret?

Not completing my piano tuition. I was one step away from getting the LRSM.

Losing someone from my family

A phone call from one of my sons

I would give the money to my sons.

Jim Caviezel, Maria de Filippi, Guido de Marco and Brandon Aaronson (plays for Leeds United).

If you could bring one person back from the dead who’d it be?

My mother

If you could time travel, when and where would you go?

I would go one hundred years in the future and hopefully see my grandchildren with their children.

Giving birth to my sons
