MaltaPost has released a new stamp issue to commemorate the centenary of the first performance of the national anthem of Malta - L-Innu Malti.

"This miniature sheet commemorates an important milestone in our country's history - that of the centenary of the first performance of the national anthem of Malta - L-Innu Malti. Then known as the Hymn of Malta, it was written in the form of a prayer by Dun Karm Psaila and set to music by Robert Samut," MaltaPost said.

 within the miniature sheet measure 44 mm x 31mm, with a comb perforation of 13.09 x 14.00 (comb) and bear the Maltese Cross watermark.

The miniature sheet itself measures 120mm x 80mm and was produced in the offset process by Printex Limited.  The print run consists of 15,000 miniature sheets with each stamp bearing a value of €3. 00.
