The Ministry said the transfer is planned to take place during their vacation, which will prevent the schools from losing any educational time.

The Ministry said that work to make Msida Hub suitable for students and teachers is starting immediately.

The building, which was previously used as a primary school in Mtarfa for students from Kindergarten to Year 6, was built in 1893 as the Officers' Mess for the British. 92 students receive their education there.

In recent years, cracks have developed due to natural wear and tear of the building and recently concrete blocks have been used to support up parts of the façade.
