A motorcyclist is in danger of dying after he suffered a late-night fall of his motorcycle in the very early hours of Thursday morning. 

Police said that they were informed of the accident in Triq Ghar Dalam in Ghaxaq at around 30 minutes past midnight on Thursday. 

Preliminary investigations showed that a 41-year-old man who lives in Tarxien lost control of his Kymco motorcycle and fell off it. 

An ambulance was called on site and the man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified as suffering from life threatening injuries.

Duty magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech is leading an inquiry while police investigations are also ongoing.
