Following the success of A Morning at Villa Frere in 2019, this year Gallery23 invited a few artists to revisit the location to capture the afternoon light. We have also selected another two locations for this collective: the historical Fort Manoel and the more industrial Manoel Island Yacht Yard which the artists visited to get inspiration, and to paint. The collection includes the works of 12 established artists, each with their own style and interpretation of these unique spaces.
The paintings will be on display at Gallery 23, Idmejda Street, Balzan, until 24 November.
The participating artists are Marisa Attard, Debbie Bonello, Sarah Calleja, Jeni Caruana, Catherine Cavallo, Henry Falzon, Winston Hassall, Feng Hongzha, Tonio Mallia, Andrew Smith, James Vella Clark and Roberta Zammit Cutajar
